Suitable For: All Levels
Age Requirement: Suitable for ages 10 & above

Workshop Description

Immerse yourself in the art of Japanese Tsumami Zaiku, a 200-year old traditional fabric-folding technique used to create delicate flower petals. In this hands-on workshop, you will craft a 2-in-1 Flower Hair Clip and Brooch by hand instead of tweezers, made easy using our patented kit from Japan.

The fabric used is Chusen dyeing - also another 200-year-old Japanese technique known for its rich colours and patterns that penetrate deeply into the cloth. This session offers a mindful, therapeutic experience while celebrating heritage craftsmanship and sustainability, rooted in the Japanese philosophy of Mottainai. Suitable for 10 years old and above. This session also includes the opportunity to create one additional simple accessory using Chusen-dyed fabric, such as a handmade card, keychain, mini charm, bookmark, or other small keepsakes.
