Workshop Description
Join Shayne Phua for a hands-on ceramic workshop where participants will create their own ceramic animal cup using the pinch pottery technique.
Cups can be designed upright or upside down, encouraging playful and imaginative forms. Participants will learn how to shape their cup by hand, add animal features and textures, and use a heat gun to dry the piece before applying colourful underglaze.
About The Artist
Shayne Phua is an artist and art instructor with diverse experience teaching communities since 2015. She has led visual arts lessons across preschools, primary and international schools, special education schools, senior care centres, community clubs, and ceramic studios. Working with students of all ages and backgrounds, Shayne fosters a supportive environment that encourages artistic growth and creative exploration.
As an artist, she uses clay to tell stories and examine everyday realities. Drawing from history, myth, and literature, her ceramic works reflect on the world around her. Shayne graduated with a BA(Hons) in Communication Design from The Glasgow School of Art, Singapore.
All Materials Will Be Provided
What Participants Need To Bring

Important Notes
Completed work will be professionally fired after the workshop and can be collected at Arudio Ceramic Studio in 3-4 weeks time.
All materials and tools will be provided unless otherwise stated.
Participants are encouraged to arrive 10 minutes before the session begins.
Workshop fees are non-refundable once booking is confirmed.
Finished works must be completed within the session duration unless otherwise stated.
Children aged 8–12 may attend independently, provided they are comfortable sitting through the workshop on their own.
Due to limited seating and workspace, the workshop is strictly for registered participants only.
