Workshop Description

Grab this rare opportunity to work hands-on with authentic Yixing Zisha clay in Singapore. Participants will be introduced to the fundamentals of handbuilding as they shape and craft their own functional mug from scratch using traditional Zisha clay.

The clay used in this workshop is specially sourced from privately held family clay reserves in Yixing and originates from the renowned Huanglongshan region, a historic clay source that is no longer open for mining.

Guided through the forming and finishing process, participants will experience the unique texture, workability, and character of authentic Zisha clay while gaining insight into one of China's most celebrated ceramic traditions. Each participant will complete and bring home a one-of-a-kind handmade mug.
